View Full Version : Designer UI Keeps Crashing

When I try to import a new image into a completely new UI file it closes out and gives me a Window's error message. I saved the image as a .tga with a transparent background. I use Adobe Ps CS3, is there a certain setting that I need to change? Thanks in advance.

Your tga file was saved as 16 bit. You need to resave it as either 24 bit or 32 bit. Only use 32 bit if you are using an alpha channel. I suspect you want an alpha channel, so you'll have to add it to your image.

Thanks Ken, that helped alot. I now have a fully designed UI! But there is a drawback, when I tried to start my game the engine crashes and I get a wndow's error message. i tried using the knightfall UI and there we no problems. In the UI I made i used the knightfall pause button just for testing and inserted 2 sliders. I remade the .tga file to have an alpha channel and it is 32 bit. Any ideas?

I assume you put the pause button graphic in the textures directory?

Of course, I'm assuming that there is nothing in the scripts that need to be changed to have a working UI. I'll just send you my game again, its the only thing that seems to work.
